2. E Commerce Purchases, Products and Product Information
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase products from this website.
Basyr takes reasonable care to describe and display its products accurately. Packaging, labelling, colour, fragrance, texture, formulation ingredients or presentation may change where a manufacturer lawfully changes a product.
Customers should refer to the product received for the current ingredient list, directions, dosage, warnings, storage instructions and expiry information.
Normal batch variations in colour, fragrance, texture or consistency do not by themselves mean that a product is defective.
Third-party brand names and trademarks displayed on the Website remain the property of their respective owners.
3. Health and Wellness Information
All content and information on the Website, is provided for general product education and wellness purposes only and does not constitute medical advice and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Customers should obtain appropriate professional advice before using a supplement, particularly if they have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are uncertain whether a product is suitable for them.
Individual results may vary. Reviews, testimonials and product experiences do not guarantee the same result for another customer. Basyr does not make claims of disease-treatment, prevention or cure, unless such claims are lawfully permitted for the specific product.
4. Orders, Stock, Prices and Payment
- All products are subject to availability. If an ordered product becomes unavailable, Basyr may offer an alternative, but no substitute will be supplied without the customer’s agreement. If no alternative is accepted, the amount paid for the unavailable item will be refunded.
- Prices are displayed in South African Rand.
- Delivery charges and any other applicable amount payable will reflect prior to the order being submitted.
- Basyr may correct an obvious pricing, description or technical error before accepting an order. If payment has already been received for an order that cannot be fulfilled, the relevant amount will be refunded.
- Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude delivery fees unless otherwise stated.
- Pricing is subject to change without notice.
- Payments are processed using the methods displayed on the Website.
- We support secure payment methods, including credit/debit cards and EFT payment gateways.
- Payments are processed through secure third-party payment platforms. We do not store full credit or debit card details on our servers.
5. Delivery
- Standard delivery is estimated at 2 to 3 working days, depending on stock availability, destination and courier operations.
- Orders within Johannesburg and Durban may, where circumstances allow, be delivered within approximately 1 to 2 working days.
- Delivery periods are estimates.
- Customers must provide correct delivery and contact details.
Reasonable additional courier costs arising from incorrect details, a failed delivery attributable to the customer, or a customer-requested re-delivery will attract additional charges.
6. Heat- and Temperature-Sensitive Products
- Certain creams, lotions, balms, oils and similar products may temporarily change consistency when exposed to heat or cold. This does not necessarily mean that the product is defective. Where the product has not been damaged or compromised, it may return to its normal consistency after being kept at normal room temperature in accordance with the manufacturer’s storage instructions.
- Customers are encouraged to monitor courier tracking and receive temperature-sensitive products promptly. If a product is actually damaged, unsafe or unusable when delivered, the customer’s rights are governed by applicable consumer law.
7. Returns Relevant to Basyr Products
- Basyr does not offer a change-of-mind return policy.
- Basyr does not accept returns or offer refunds on supplements, herbal medicines, wellness formulas or other ingestible products, or opened, used, unsealed or compromised cosmetics, skincare, body-care products, unless defective or damaged upon receipt.
This restriction does not apply where the customer has a return, cooling-off, refund, replacement or other right under applicable South African law.
- Unopened, fully sealed products that qualify for return under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) may be returned within the applicable 7-day cooling-off period, subject to the relevant exclusions and return shipping costs.
For full details, please refer to our Return and Refund Policy.
8. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
- If a product is delivered damaged, expired, defective, or with compromised seals, your rights under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) may apply.
- Customers shall notify Basyr within 24 hours, if a product is delivered damaged, defective, unsafe, expired, incorrectly supplied or with a compromised seal.
- Basyr may reasonably request photographs, packaging, batch details, expiry details or return of the product to assess the complaint. This does not remove any statutory right.
- A product is not defective merely because of a normal batch variation, a subjective dislike of its fragrance, taste, colour, texture or consistency, failure to obtain a hoped-for result, or damage caused after delivery by misuse, contamination, improper storage or failure to follow product instructions.
- Where a product is defective or otherwise does not comply with the standards required by law, the customer and Basyr have the rights and obligations provided by the applicable legislation.
9. Product Use and Customer Responsibility
- Products must be used and stored according to their labels, warnings and manufacturer instructions.
- Basyr is not responsible, for loss or damage caused by misuse, improper storage after delivery, unauthorised alteration or repackaging, failure to follow warnings or directions, or use of general Website information as personalised medical advice.
